How do I become a volunteer with the Bureau?
Initially you will probably contact the Bureau by e-mail, telephone or letter. You will be invited to an informal chat to discuss volunteering opportunities. An application form will be completed and you will be asked to provide the names of two referees. The Bureau will strive to place volunteers as quickly as possible, usually within two or three weeks. However those volunteers who wish to work with children or vulnerable adults are required to undergo a police check. This can delay the process by some weeks.
